Corporate Profile
The Company is one of the largest food retail companies with operations in Brazil and in the United States. Currently, the group globally has more than 12,000 employees in different operations, such as shopping malls, shopping centers, highways, hospitals, airports and catering.
The foundation of the Company
In 2006, the IMC group was created by the Advent International, a global private equity firm, with the acquisition of the La Mansión group in México. In the same year, the IMC Group began operating food services in airports in the Dominican Republic.
The first acquisition in Brazil
In 2007, IMC acquired RA Catering – one of the leaders in food retail concession and airline catering in Brazil.
The most significant acquisitions in Brazil
In 2008, IMC acquired the Viena chain, one of the largest restaurant groups in Brazil, and Frango Assado, one of the largest operators of highway service plazas in the state of São Paulo.
The IPO
In March 2011, International Meal Company concluded its IPO, with its shares traded on the Novo Mercado segment of the BM&FBOVESPA – the segment with the highest corporate governance standards in the Brazilian capital market.
The agreement with Darden Restaurants
In 2013, IMC became the exclusive operator of Red Lobster and Olive Garden brands in Brazil.
IMC in the U.S.
In 2014, the IMC Group began its activities in the United States of America with the acquisition of the Margaritaville brand restaurants.
End of operations in Mexico
In 2015, the Company sold its operations in Mexico.
End of operations in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico
In early 2016, the Company sold these operations.
Incorporation of MultiQSR
Incorporation of MultiQSR, master franchisee of the Pizza Hut and KFC operations in Brazil.
Faro Capital
Follow On with raising of R$374 million and the entry of Faro Capital, a new reference shareholder.
